Sybil Hawthorne is visibly shaken before PD even rolls her for the very first time. She’s chained, very uncomfortably, to a seat and can’t find something while he calmly converses on the telephone. As he ignores her she tests her bonds, but there’s little doubt they’ll hold firm.Without warning she’s hit with a cascade of freezing water and promptly she starts to fracture. She understands PD all too nicely. She knows she cannot even envision the twisted things that run through his head and that frightens her more than anything else she can imagine herself. When he does allow her watch him work it is almost as terrifying as the utter darkness.
